President, Robin Woodie. Ms Woodie serves as the HV president and leverages all of the skills from her high-powered resume to lead and motivate the Club. A New Jersey native, Woodie began her playing career there in her early high-school years, and played all through high school, capping it off with an all-state award. After playing 4 years at West Virginia Wesleyan College and graduating with a degree in Health/PE, Woodie immediately jumped into coaching field hockey in her home state of New Jersey. Upon moving to Virginia, Woodie took-over the reigns of Woodbridge High School’s field hockey program, taking that team to the AAA State Quarterfinals in 1996. Coach Woodie moved to Stafford High School in 1998. Her commitment to the highest standards of play and work ethics helped build a highly successful program, and in 2005 Woodie’s team won the State AAA Championship title.
That year Woodie was universally recognized in the field hockey community being recognized as Coach of the Year at the District, Regional, State and National levels!
Coach Woodie moved to the University of Mary Washington as Assistant Field Hockey coach, a position she held from 2006-2007. She returned to the high school arena as Assistant Varsity Field Hockey Coach at Stafford High School. In 1999, Coach Woodie founded High Voltage Field Hockey as a premier Festival team, and was the driving force in bringing the team to Fredericksburg and helping create a year-round, elite, travel field hockey club.
